The Clow Book is the mystical book that holds the Clow Cards. Clow Cards are magical cards created by the ancient sorcerer, Clow Reed.Each card represents different magical properties such as wind,fire,flight and illusion. Each card is extremely powerful and can act independently,which means that they can also be very dangerous if not controlled.
In order to cointain their power, Clow Reed placed the cards in the Clow Book. The Clow Book cannot be opened by anyone who does not possess magic, and on its cover there is the Beast of the Seal, Keroberos.Keroberos is the guardian of the Clow Book,charged with protecting the power of the cards from being released.
Sakura has the magic that can open the Clow Book. She did so, accidentally releasing and scattering the Clow Cards. As Cardcaptor, it is now her job to collect and return them to their powers cause too much damage to the world.
